It's such a gorgeous drawing! >/////< -amazed-

I found this art on deviantart that was done by another artist that I thought represented the story. There were a alot of good ones, but I thought this one was the best because it was the best fit for what I visualized in this poem.
The poem said.
"On either side the river lie
Long fields of barley and of rye,
That clothe the wold and meet the sky"
In this picture, there were some messy barley and rye lying on and beside the river; also there were some in the very background that blended in with the sky. In the river there were patches of water lily pads and water lily blossoms, which fit this line:
"Gazing where the lilies blow "

I thought the white dried willow behind the woman, who was Lady of Shallot, and the grey and white castle in the right top corner of the background was a perfect match for these lines.
"Willows whiten, aspens quiver, "
and "Four grey walls, and four grey towers"

But what I thought was most special in this piece of art, or what represented the poem the most, was the mood and theme. In the poem, through lady of Shallot's detailed descriptions of the setting, I sensed a feeling of loneliness and sorrow through some of the the words.(e.g.quiver, grey, silent) And I thought the grey tone coloured theme of the picture really represented that mood; Lady of Shallot had the facial expression and body position that I thought also represented a bit of sadness.
(The man in the background was Sir Lancelot which came later in the poem.)

Overall, I think this artwork of Lady of Shallot really covered everything I pictured from the first two stanzas of Lady of Shallot, and it was the perfect fit for what I had visualized.

I don't think Mr. Schmuck asked us to credit our art or photography, as far as I can remember. But I think I should credit anyways, so, no sueing please. =)
